How Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Helps on Addictive Behaviour?

One of the well-known theories applied in group counselling session is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This article explores systematic literature reviews on benefit using CBT among clients who were having issues with drugs. review managed through following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The Emerald, ProQuest Electronic Cambridge University Press are used. research utilized Google Scholar website too. term “drug”, “abuse”, “effect”, “group counselling” other relevant derivations used web searching. Only 10 most journal articles extracted reviewed. Findings showed that there positive effects drug abused members. findings suggested effective changing perceptions behaviours addicts, controlling anger increasing self-esteem. may raise sense self-awareness as well increased confidence not to relapse after they have been released from rehab centre. Application helped counsellor propose action plan properly, which involves several steps such identifying level client motivation, risky situations, processes, situations making irrelevant decisions, cognitive factors related relapse, lifestyle changes. In conclusion, it proved benefits accordance application during help a better view life recover addiction.
